Description

The Lingotto is one of those buildings that have made the history of Italian industrial architecture. Built in the early 20th century to a design by Giacomo Mattè-Trucco, it was for decades the productive heart of Fiat. Today it is a vibrant cultural centre that hosts two absolute gems.

Art, design and breathtaking views in the heart of the Lingotto

The Pinacoteca Agnelli, also known as lo Scrigno, is a gallery suspended on the roof of the building, designed by Renzo Piano. Inside, a selection of 25 masterpieces from the personal collection of the Agnelli family: works by Canaletto, Tiepolo, Matisse, Picasso, Modigliani and other masters of Italian and European twentieth century art.

Going further up, you reach the Pista 500: 24,000 square metres of the historic test track on the rooftop of the Lingotto, today returned to the city as a place of culture, events and artistic installations. The view of Torino and the Alps that opens up from up here is simply spectacular.

The ticket includes access to the temporary exhibitions, which are renewed periodically and accompany the permanent collection with always stimulating proposals. A lively exhibition programme that makes every visit different from the previous one. The whole experience lasts on average two or three hours, but time seems to flow differently up there, suspended between art, industrial memory and a panorama embracing the entire city.
